Learn to Knit: Twisted Headband, Gr 4-8

Join this beginner-friendly, 2-session class to discover the joy of knitting while creating a stylish twisted headband. In Session 1, you’ll learn how to cast on and the basic knit stitch. In Session 2, you’ll cast off and sew your pieces together to complete the twist. A complete knitting kit is provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm. Class size is limited to 10 students. Class Fee: $60.

Learn to Knit: Ribbed Hat, Gr 4-8

Ribbing is achieved by combining the two basic stitches in knitting: the knit and purl stitches. This hat combines the two together. In this 3-session class you will learn the basic knit and purl stitches while making a basic hat. In session one, you will learn how to do the basic knit and purl stitches and how to cast-on for the pattern. In session two, you will learn how to put the two stitches together to make the ribbed stitch. And in session three, we will learn how to decrease the crown of the hat and cast-off. Ideally you will have been in the twisted headband class first, as this class will build on those original skills, however it is not necessary. A kit will be provided and will have all you need to make this design. Class size is limited to 6 students. Class Fee: $75
