After-School Craft Club for Grades 1–5Arts & CraftsJoin us for a fun and creative after-school craft club led by a high school teacher and students from our high school Spanish classes who are traveling to Peru next year! This six-week program will meet once a week from 3:00–4:30 PM. Each week, participants will create a different hands-on craft designed for elementary-aged students, using a variety of materials and techniques. Students will sign up for all six weeks, allowing them to build confidence, creativity, and connections with peers in a supportive and engaging environment. Snacks will be provided at each session. Babysitting 101Youth EnrichmentBabysitting 101 This course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, CPR, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Bicycle Safety RodeoSpecial EventsCome learn how to be safe when riding your bicycle. Ride your bicycle through the obstacle course. Have your bicycle inspected and get your helmet properly fitted. Classroom Driver EducationYouth EnrichmentThis course fulfills the requirements needed to obtain a driving permit. Students must be at least 15 years old to take the permit test. We recommend enrolling in this class as close as possible to the time you plan to take the permit test to maximize the retention of information. Attendance for the full 30 hours of classroom instruction is mandatory. Adults seeking a driving permit are also welcome to participate in this class. The "Behind the Wheel" component, comprising 6 hours of hands-on driving instruction, is separate from the 30 hours of classroom learning. Participants can register for their "Behind the Wheel" training once they have completed the classroom instruction.
