DASH Sports Track & Field CampsSportsDASH Sports Track & Field Tykes camp for ages 3-6 provide participants with a basic introduction to Track & Field events.Participants will learn and practice how to correctly run, jump, and throw. Firearm Safety TrainingYouth RecreationFirearm Safety Training Foley Community Education with the assistance of several DNR trained volunteer firearm safety instructors will provide firearm safety training this spring. The class will be a combination of classroom and field experience covering the safe operation and functioning of firearms as required by the MN Dept. of Natural Resources. Class Fee: $7.50 to Community Education at registration ($7.50 due to the DNR online) PARENT NOTES: -Students taking this course can be 11 years old but must turn 12 by December 31, 2026. If an 11 year old takes the class and passes the test the state DNR office will hold their card until they turn 12. -Please do not bring a gun to class or the field test. All firearms will be provided. -Attendance at all class sessions and good behavior is expected of all participants in order to pass the course. -There is a lot of reading homework for this class that you will need to assist your child with. Students must pass a State DNR written test in order to take the field test. Both tests must be passed in order to complete the course and receive certification. -The field test will only be given on Saturday, April 18th. Testing times and maps to the range will be distributed in class. -A parent or legal guardian MUST attend the first session on March 23rd to complete registration paperwork for their minor child. Participants receive a packet containing materials and a booklet with nine lessons, each requiring about an hour to complete. Students can either submit one lesson per week starting June 10th or work at their own pace, ensuring all lessons are submitted by August 7th. Lessons are mailed to GRASP for evaluation and returned with feedback. Students who successfully complete at least 7 lessons with a minimum of 70% accuracy will earn a certificate. Those who achieve 70% accuracy across all 9 lessons will receive a medal. Certificates and medals will now be distributed by schools, rather than mailed directly to participants as in previous years. When registering, please select the grade level your child has just completed to ensure they review the material they have already covered. The class fee is $35 for one subject or $60 for both subjects ($30 each). Be sure to register by the deadline of April 17th.Winter-Spring 2026 -

Gifted & Talented After School Classes (invite only program)Youth EnrichmentThis class is offered to students who were invited by email from the Gifted & Talented Coordinator. The purpose of after school classes is to offer extension and enrichment experiences that cannot be provided during the school day. While these activities support academic learning, that is not their primary focus. Students are expected to follow school and classroom rules, as well as meet the instructor expectations regarding behavior. Student behavior that interferes with these expectations will not be tolerated. Please send a snack and water bottle with your child. If school is canceled, after school classes are also canceled and will be rescheduled when possible. Parents should pick up students in the classroom when class is over Registration will open on January 3, 2026 G/T after School Class Descriptions Puzzles and Brain Games Gr. 2-5 This class is designed to teach perseverance and many higher level skills used in all areas of study. In this two-session beginner class, you’ll learn the basic knit stitch while making a twisted headband. Session 1 (Feb 26): Cast on and master the knit stitch Session 2 (Mar 5): Cast off and sew your pieces together into a stylish twisted headband All materials provided in a handy kit Limited to 10 students Fee: $60 for the 2 sessions Time: 5:30-7:30pm Intermediate School Cafeteria Learn to Knit: Ribbed Hat Class Knitting is a fun and practical way to decrease stress. Ribbing is achieved by combining the two basic stitches in knitting: the knit and purl stitches. This hat combines the two together. In this 3-session class you will learn the basic knit and purl stitches while making a basic hat. Session 1 (Mar 31): Learn how to do the basic knit and purl stitches and how to cast-on for the pattern. Session 2 (April 7): Learn how to put the two stitches together to make the ribbed stitch. Session 3 (April 14) Learn how to decrease the crown of the hat and cast-off. Ideally you will have been in the twisted headband class first, as this class will build on those original skills, however it is not necessary.
