Dance Team Summer Training, Gr 7-12SportsDance Team Summer Training, Gr 7-12 This camp is for anyone who is currently a part of or wants to join the competitive winter dance team at Foley! Dancers will continue advancing their technique of skills with kicks, turns, jumps, leaps, etc. The camp will feature strength training, endurance activities, and flexibility exercises. Through the advancement in skills, dancers will be able to create combinations and phrases of routine choreography that can be actively executed as the summer progresses! At Hooves, Hums & Halters, campers don’t just meet miniature horses, horses, and llamas — they step into their world through wildly fun, hands-on experiences. Youth might guide a miniature horse through an obstacle course they helped design, team up for a llama pack relay, and decode animal body language in a “mind reader” challenge. They’ll explore fiber through touch-and-create crafts, examine llama fiber under a microscope and make a small, braided llama keychain to take home. Campers can create colorful hoof print art and test their ability to communicate calmly with a full-sized horse. As a special highlight, they’ll also get the chance to meet a miniature donkey and learn what makes it different from horses and llamas. With Barnyard Olympics, creative projects, and even a silly llama selfie station, this camp builds confidence, teamwork, and empathy in a way only animals can inspire. Legacy Quest 4-H Day Camp, June 16Get ready for an action-packed camp where kids become Legacy Explorers on a mission full of teamwork, creativity, and fun! Flavor Lab- The Wild Side of Food 4-H Day Camp, June 23Welcome to the messiest, tastiest, most surprising camp of the summer! At Flavor Lab, campers become food explorers as they discover how ingredients mix, change, and transform in fun and delicious ways. Youth might create color-changing lemonade using natural juices, make fizzy popping treats that bubble and foam, or compete in a kid-friendly mystery ingredient challenge where teamwork and creativity shine. Campers will shake their way to homemade ice cream in a bag, whip cream into butter, build layered rainbow drinks, and test what happens when foods melt, freeze, or rise. They’ll also tackle a fun “Fix the Recipe” challenge to problem-solve what went wrong and learn how small changes can make a big difference. Campers might create edible slime, design candy and cracker structures in snack-building challenges, mix up no-bake energy bites, practice simple buttercream decorating techniques on cupcakes, or play taste-testing games to explore sweet, salty, sour, and crunchy combinations. Through hands-on experiments and collaborative challenges, campers discover that cooking is full of science, creativity, and skills they can enjoy with every bite. Morning Bam Bam Ball, Ages 3-4SportsThis program offers an enjoyable introduction to basic baseball skills. Participants will hit off a tee using a larger plastic bat and a soft ball. Every child will have the chance to both bat and play in the field. It is recommended that players bring a glove, cap, and water bottle to each practice session. Please refrain from wearing sandals or flip-flops. We welcome volunteer parent coaches.We will combine Foley morning classes of Bam Bam Ball and Rookie Ball if we don't have enough participants for both. If this is the case we will notify you. Players will commence the season by batting off a tee and may advance to hitting balls pitched by a coach by the conclusion of the season. Teams will be established following the initial practice session. The first two practices will focus on skill development, while the subsequent three will consist of practice and scrimmage activities. Players are required to bring a glove, cap, and water bottle to every practice. Sandals or flip-flops are not permitted. Volunteer parent coaches are needed for the afternoon session. We will combine Foley morning classes of Bam Bam Ball and Rookie Ball if we don't have enough participants for both. If this is the case we will notify you. In Sparkle & Sprinkle: 4th of July Cake Pops, youth will roll, dip, and decorate their very own cake pops in patriotic style. Using red, white, and blue shimmers, sprinkles, and edible glitter, each cake pop becomes a dazzling treat that’s as fun to make as it is to eat. Participants will learn simple cake pop techniques, experiment with colorful designs, and create festive treats perfect for the holiday. At the end of class, everyone will take home their decorated cake pops to share with family and friends—adding sparkle to any 4th of July celebration.
